I'm currently in talks with a company, but need to get an idea of numbers.

An unfair comment. Even Mecs, BMW and loads of other high end manufacturers can have fitting problems. MG has plenty. Nice MG ZT you have there!

To clarify this would be a MGR style one, not the MG7 style one from China.

I didn't realise this would be so complicated.
It's for the Premium Bumper Chrome Grill Surround, not the bumper itself, grill or anything else, just the surround, that's been unavailable since MGR went bust OEM Part Number is DPR000160MMM described as Finisher - polished grille surround

There were 5 of them available in italy recently brand new and boxed. Out of my price range tho. someone has since bout all of them for 500 euros each. I suspect it was a guy on 75 community I met a while back. Would be interesting to see if they surface again. No one person needs 5
In that light people who want one should not be offended by a price tag of £200 or so
