I'm looking forward to my trip 'up norf' in April and to raising a toast to some great friends sadly departed.
Some I had the pleasure of meeting, others I never got the chance such as Tam but feel I knew him and we were all enriched by his postings on here Also I get to meet for the first time so great friends I've made on here so it will be great to shake their hands........and eat their food

Tam.and Ian
I only knew Tam for a short while, but once met never forgotten, he was a gent, a laugh and at the same time, not afraid to speak his mind wherever he saw injustice. Ian I only met once at one.of the early Metrocentre meets, again a really nice bloke who travelled from Scotland for the meet,a shame he never came to more as we could have got to know him better.Always the good and decent are taken from us too early.

Tam and i convoyed down meeting up with 2 Diesels and his parents on route and we joined up with Suzublu for the final leg. Weather was brilliant right up till the end when the skies opened up. Tam and i headed home stopping for coffee and cake halfway and the usual non stop natter. A lovely day and a lovely memory of Sir Tam. It was his last meet and i was very lucky to share it with him. |

I remember this meet very well George, a beautiful sunny day until we were leaving for home. If I remember Tam was in his usual 'wheeling & dealing' mode with a big smile on his face throughout the day. A great privilege to have met Tam on a few occasions, he was one of the good 'uns. |

If you needed it Tam usually had it or would get it . I noticed on that day he was coughing a lot more than usual and we now know why . A terrific loss to the club and his family and friends. It was an honour to know him. |
