Daft question, mk1 or mk2
I know this is very subjective, but which is considered to be the most sought after of the two?

Agree with the above. I think the MK1 was exactly as Rover had intended without financial constraint with a superb end result. Where they allowed the same freedom for the facelift model?

For most sought after, I would have said V8 and LWB, in either Mk 1 or Mk 2 form!
As far as "normal" cars are concerned, the most collectable cars are usually the 1st and the last of the breed, so as far as I'm concerned, for me, that would mean a 1999 75 2.5 V6 Connoisseur SE auto with as many factory options, or a 2005 75 Contemporary SE auto, the same! As far as looks are concerned, I prefer the Mk 1 to the Mk 2 and if I ever bought a Mk 2, I would have to buy one with a Premium bumper, or fit one straight away, as I'm not a fan of the Mk 2 front bumper on either the 75 or the ZT! |
