Default Rover 75 - doesn't look old to me

I'm probably totally biased but I'm always comparing my car to other cars and it really does hold up well in terms of looks vs age.

In my street there are the following cars which are newer than mine but look really dated:

Nissan micro
Vauxhall zafira (pre facelift)
Citroen Picasso (I had one of these and never "loved" it)
A Toyota boy racer thingie
old Ford fiesta
Etc etc...

Is it the retro looks that keeps it fresh?

Really? I think it looks ... Well just classy and classic. Next to the micro it looks especially elegant.

God, I'm such a 75 snob now.

Maybe, but just remember that anything looks good next to a Micra (except maybe the Juke)

The 75 looks great still, but not all of them. The puny 15 inch wheels on some age them desperately. With bigger wheels it looks much fresher, and some colours work better than others. The only bad thing on the 75 generally is the lower front grill, which always looked a bit old.

Personally i think the facelift did little for the 75, but was good on the ZT. The facelift ZT looks really quite new indeed.

That's the spirit

Earlier on today I was driving on the motorway back from Cape Town, I add not in a 75

A white gold mark 1 passed me by on the outside lane and all I could see was the the rear of it. I shouted out 'look there goes a 75, and everyone said, so it is' and it was fast! ahead of the bunch for a change.

It made my day. That 75 did herself proud! was immaculate looking. Just like they always are.

Old yes! Elegant and graceful - a certainty
