That saga continues. I visited my local Peugeot Citroen dealer today. Its is in fact a PSA adapter but an older one that they no longer use. However they had the magic box of old bits and you can see in the picture that 3 out of 4 lugs look like a match. Tomorrow I will give it a try. Failing that it will be days spent drilling them out!

Those 4 pins don't look all that strong. They would be strong enough for someone doing them up properly using a torque wrench but an air gun in the hands of a tireman in a hurry would make short work of them.
Even the more sturdy BMW originals could only handle that so many times before they failed.

They are not strong at all. Such a simple device designed and made so badly. Local garage wants £100 to remove them. I passed on that one.

Vic can you post up a photo of the locking stud it's self one the wheel so we can see what if any tool can get them off, you may have to use a Dremel like I did below when I purchased my FL2 and the locking nut adapter could not be found.

Mine had the slip ring on them my intention was to split the ring then use a reverse thread nut/studs remove, of Irwins socket for round nut & bolts, as they were rusted when I started to tap the ring the nut started to move and I was able to remove all of then that way.

PS I was not to concerned if I marked the wheel as they were going to be refurbished in a different colour as below

Thought it looked familiar! I had these POS on my 306 and 405 many moons ago. The pins wobble about and you were lucky to get the locking nut off. Soon went in the bin and used McGard ones since and never had an issue.

I take the locking wheel nut off and swap with a non locking one when at the tyre fitters. One wheel is extra secure for a little while!

Hi Vic.
Looks like you may have to drill down the ring to remove that first before you can get an Irwins on it, or similar removal tool, you could maybe have a nut welded onto the end ?

Having borrowed a few so called specialist removal sockets, the locking wheel nuts remain tight. Because of the design of the wheel I can’t even get an angle grinder on them. Drilling is my only option and it took 3 hours to remove just one some weeks ago.

I feel your pain, a friend who has a Peugeot had the same problem. The tyre fitter gave up after 20 mins so it was up to me to get it off. In the end a mate welded a nut onto the damaged wheel bolt and we used a standard socket to get it off.

Locking wheel bolts/nuts are a pain, you either don't have the correct tool to get them off or if you do inevitably one or more are damaged.
