Default Members cars for sale section!!!!

Today I travelled 4hrs by train to chelsfield to meet and purchase the Mgzt diesel advertised on the for sale page.

This car was a bargain totally as stated if not better !! With the detailed advert and pictures I can clearly state if you are selling please put all the information into your advert it will help with the sale.

240 miles home again in 4 hours was a breeze and total pleasure and I’ll state now it’s the best £500 I’ve ever spent on a car ! Thank you.

JT.

It always surprises me how poor some car adverts are, car filthy and listing small jobs that need done. If you want to sell a car clean it and do the jobs required then as the OP states full description and good pictures

That’s correct Les, ownership, history, work done along with pictures help any sale that’s why I was prepared to travel that distance it’s not like it’s around the corner from me.

its is good to hear when someone buys a car and it is better then expected.
so many cars are viewed and even bought and turn out to be worse then expected and worse then the owners admits too. Alas I bought one of those cars from a member! I hope yours continues to please, although the members car I got does not, my saloon does

Sorry to here that, but you are correct for every good one there’s 10 or so that hide issues. This zt I purchased has been owned 11 by the same owner so that’s what tipped the scales on my travel and purchase also to be told of the fact it was sat on premium rubber Tyres and not the usual ditch divers stated above average upkeep in my mind.

My father always said start at the floor and work up, if the Tyres are of good quality! Not odd ! and cheap the money spent elsewhere will be money well spent and corners not cut. I have done this through out my car buying life.

The tyre thing is a great way to start. Some years ago I went to see a Ford Focus which according to the advert just had 3 tyres fitted. Imagine my annoyance to find all 4 tyres with a depth of just 3mm. Challenging the owner I asked why he lied about the tyres. He had indeed had 3 part worms fitted that week to get it through the MOT as it failed on 3 tyres being below the legal limit. He had been cutting corners so I walked away,
