One of the Austins I’ve owned too!
Red. Y Reg. Really comfortable. Just did not inspire me in any way and found it dull after a few months. Sold it to a friend and he loved it.

So nothing much there to get very excited about. My Rover was a great car in its day, but things for me have moved on and the Audi and Golf, whilst a bit less characterful, have been more reliable, better equipped, cheaper to run and more spacious inside than the Rover whilst being more compact designs. So 21st century cars as opposed to the 20th century Rover. Still enjoy the forum though, keep up the good work.

I've owned many many more than this list, it's not by any means exhaustive, nor does it include "mistake" purchases, or foreign metal.

I'm not about to admit to Manta GTE, or Alfa 33 sportwagon gold cloverleaf, ZT260, Audi 80 Sport, or indeed an UR Quattro....which ranks among one of the best cars I've driven in my life.

I've owned several mini, moggie 1000, a mk1 Granada, a 1953 Ford Prefect, datsun 120y, datsun 240Z and even an MGBGT, various metro maestro and montego, even a Chrysler 180

In terms of yanks, I've had a 1972 plymouth barracuda 426 hemi

And a Marlin Roadster built using parts scavenged from a terminally ill Marina TC coupe.

Oops! I forgot a nightmare Austin Princess 1.7 which definitely was not a princess! She gave me problems right from day one. The worst was misfiring so badly that she stalled going up Porlock Hill. We blocked the road until finally reversing back down the hill and having to be pushed back and forth (Thanks hikers!) to turn round and go back down again, backfiring and belching black smoke to the lay-by. Much fettling with distributor and plugs and returned to dealer several times before a trade in deal was done!
Porlock Hill Vid (Not mine!)
