Although I do feel that if I had purchased a pre project drive car combined with a v6 then my opinion may have been different. The diesel engine does have a little harshness to it

No worse than any other diesel I have driven and I have driven many and the harshness disappears once moving, when it then becomes ultra smooth and near silent.

JLR spent a lot of money sponsoring Italy during their wooden spoon era in the six nations Rugby a few years ago.

I live most of the year in Italy (Le Marche region, which borders Umbria) and I was surprised to read of no Jags. To the contrary there are many Jags around (including the new SUV version) plus many many Range Rovers. The current shape one is very popular.
Not only that but there are still many Rovers on the roads still going strong, especially the 25. I still see the odd old 600 and 75. An Arden green one has been spotted several times, but not long enough for me to thrust some club info at them. Only today I was just emailed a sales invite from Jaguar (no idea why as I have never shown any interest in them) Torna The Art of Performance Tour, l'appuntamento per provare le prestazioni e lo stile della gamma Jaguar e per scoprire l'istinto del controllo di All Wheel Drive Jaguar. Here is the link if any one wants to look. Buying British and all things British still has lots of kudos here! |

British car registered in Italy January-July 2017
Mini 14629 (Maybe owned by BMW but very British) Land Rover 12224 (Evoque, Discovery, Range).. Not bad considering the price Jaguar 3528 Just behind Porsche and nearly double than Maserati F Pace is outselling the Macan and is streets ahead of the Cayenne. XF is struggling as customers in that market buy Audi, BMW and Mercedes. |

I have no complaints either,
I have owned mine for 11 years now and done 120k plus miles in it.Apart from the normal service items and a clutch and alternator and M/C it is as good now as when I got it.The body is tight with no rattles. When I hear the horror stories of "New" cars and their problems I will hang on to my 75 as long as I can.
