Just my opinion of course, I somehow feel petrol cars run 'dry', probably because a diesel uses 'heavy oil' as fuel
Perhaps another category ?

Sub 50k miles as.. Very low miles

Mine has 287k on the clock, runs 'sweet as a nut', especially now it has the new Bosch maf fitted, courtesy of Brian, good to hear yours is going nicely at 365k

Funnily enough was talking about this a few days ago... had a trip up to the Lake District from N Wales... just over 500 miles in a few days saw the mileage up to 176,000 now, and running as well as ever! If ever a car was built for such journeys the Rover 75 is the one!

A few years ago I wouldn't have gone anywhere near a car with 100,000 miles on it, now looking forward to 200,000 with no worries, with a good wash and polish my car could easily pass for a few years old...it hides it's 12 years very well

225000 happy miles since October 2005..On top of that she rested for 2 years and a half while I used a Chrysler 300. Keeping my finger crossed she seems to keep running better and better.

I think my 52 plate 75 V6 is just warming up at a little bit over 30k.

10k a year is average isn't it, I ten to work on that. Mines 13 and on 120k so just under average

I'd not worry about a car until 200k but im used to LR's and they are quite happy with high milages
