Default Nearly 200000 mls with original clutch

The clutch on my ZTT has expired at last at 196000 mls. Car is already back on the road ready for a few more miles. Expensive but worthwile.
Next on the map a full set of shock absorbers.. any hints/suggestions gratefully appreciated.

i wouldn't count your chickens on the cdti, my clutch slave went at 120k meaning a new clutch and slave

original clutch and hydraulics 85000 miles, replacement slave and master 16000 miles, yes that does say sixteen thousand and not one hundred and sixty so at 196000,that is pretty much a one off I would imagine

2001 1.8 tourer. 172,000 on original clutch and hydraulics and still going strong.

My CDT managed 104000 on the original clutch before it started slipping (160 remap). The slave was still fine but replaced anyway as a matter of good practice. Replaced with an LUK clutch and after some issues bleeding the hydraulics up, it's good as new. Tazu master cylinder should be here this week, I'm replacing this because the master cylinder seals on the OEM part are past their best. This is why it was difficult to bleed.

Recommendation: Replace the master cylinder, slave cylinder and clutch plates at the same time.

146,000 and currently replacing mine due to slipping with synergy box on, hydralics still worked fine.

According to the service history mine had a new clutch, slave and master at 46,000 in 2005. A new slave was fitted this summer, clutch was left as there was virtually no wear visible and the DMF was perfect. Now have intermittant really bad judder, there is no fluid loss or drips under the bell housing and the lower mount is a poly flex type. Mileage is 84,680, bad news for a 1.8 petrol. Just had a pay cut too due to low work so cant afford to fix it!

murphy, did your clutch not suffer from contamination from the fluid that came out of the slave cylinder when it was changed, this may be causing the judder
