Cool Autoglym HD Wax. (Pic Heavy).

Hi.

I just thought I would share the results I had with the use of Autoglym's HD Wax.

All I did was thoroughly wash the car beforehand, and give it a quick going over with Meguiars Cleaner-Wax.

Unfortunately there are no photo's of the Doors as to be honest I ran out of steam and time was moving on, and I wanted to take a few pics before it got too dark, although I did do the tops of the Doors above Handle level - I did complete the job the next day though.

Please remember that these were only taken with a Camera Phone, a Sony Xperia Z, so not really professional - apologies.

Here are a few of the Wax applied waiting to dry off, they suggest at least a 15 minute wait. The photo's are pretty much self-explanatory...

Now post buffing using the Red Microfibre Cloth supplied with the HD Wax.
I also use lint-free Valeting Gloves making it a lot easier on the paintwork when leaning on it for support to reduce finger-printing. (One of my pet hates!).

I will say that the application and buffing was really, really easy - I was pleasantly surprised - only very light pressure is required to apply and to buff!

Here is some photo's of the finish - again, it was getting dark, so not the best, but I did try to get some good angles where possible. Sorry.

I have to say that I was extremely impressed with this product - it was also the ease of use!

I know it is expensive, but after that one car's use, there is hardly a dent in the wax... I reckon it will last a good 3 - 4 years with three applications a year on a single car of our size - easy!

Oh. and it rained and the beading was quite phenomenal. Almost looks like water-repellent!

Here is a video I watched before I used the product - and no, I didn't understand a word either...lol. (You can jump to the end if you just want to see the Beading, which I can testify is not exagerated).

Hi, and thanks.....

As far as price goes, in normal retailers you will be paying in the region of £40+ but I only paid £23.59 on Ebay for mine, which is about as cheap as you will get.

Cheers.

Looking very nice indeed.

Interesting in that video that the polish is being applied using a circular motion.

I was under the impression that this can cause swirl marks.

I thought you would have bought some of this, just look at the cost as well, half way down the page
