To be doubly sure - run the onboard temperature diagnostic - gives you real time engine temp - if you are moving at decent pace in traffic the temp will hold steady between low 90's to mid 80's - if it starts to rise to high 90's whilst rolling along this tells you are more than likely losing coolant -so stop and as per MG John refill the expansion tank.
