![]() Not sure i've posted this here before but thought for some of the older members this might bring back some fond memories.
I took ownership in 2004 of a 1962 Split Screen Pickup shipped over from Arizona. It was damaged in shipping but was reasonably sound body / engine wise. I ripped the electrics out and put in a new loom (for UK Spec) and off we went. It was my daily driver until I got the ZT (between 330d ownership). Well, i'm restoring it now. Here are some pics. Currently with my spraying friend having all the panels dipped, bead blasted and re-sprayed in dove blue lower and pearl white upper with white sign writing (keeping it original). Enjoy Stripping the dash and securing wiring for spraying ![]() Door panels removed, etc ![]() How am I gonna get this out? ![]() Here it comes! ![]() 3 bolts removed later ![]() I knew my toolbox would come in handy, not that I can get in to it now! ![]() Two weeks with me and some 'extra bits' ![]() ![]() This was after removal of the original front badge ![]() Americans love Bondo as much as McDonalds ![]() ![]() Will keep you posted when she comes back! |

![]() Excellent! A mate of mine has a 72 or 73 camper sitting in his garage awaiting restoration. Unfortunately various problems have prevented him starting it for about five years now!
