OK,

An update and another question please.

This light occasionally flickers on and off. Sometimes fleetingly, sometimes for a few seconds.

It always disappears if I switch the ignition off and re-start the engine.

My friendly auto-electrician scanned the codes for me and his infernal machine came up with:-

"Fuel delivery pressure sensor"

Ordinarily, this would send me scurrying off to locate an in-tank fuel pump BUT, I was just wondering whether the transient and irregular nature of the warning might suggest a sensor or wiring fault?

The fuel delivery pressure with the engine running is of the order of 3.5 bar according to his analyser.

Any opinions please? Does anybody know where the fuel pressure sensor is located?

If you have consistent fuel delivery pressure of 3.5 bar that sounds correct. I would bet on the sensor or wiring but I do not know where it is located sorry!

The sensor is in the top of the fuel filter housing and it would be worth checking the connector isn't loose.

It's located to the left hand side of Battery Box as viewed from front of Car.
It has a Long (6" approx) silver round bottom piece with connections on top.
You will find up to four pipes or cable connections (generally 3) on a round Black section on top.
Hope that helps to locate.
