Default Engine light on!!Urgent!Autogas

Guys,
today i have been uninstalling a Autogas system in preperation for a new install (which i am half way through) however now the car will not start, the engine light is on.......the car tries to fire but does not....fuel is at the fuel pipes under the engine.

now i think i had this issue before and it was a simple fix but i cannt remember what i did to cure it!
The only thing is that i added some leads that interupt the injectors, However all they do is join in the system and as the autogas is not live it shouldnt make any odds.......i donnt think, i assume that they only shut the fuel off when the system is live???

any help would be greatly received

take off what ever you've added, and try again.

You have got the LPG ECU connected to the injector cuts I presume?
No circuit without it.

Hi B,
well i have done both and it donnt fire either way.
The only thing i am short of is an ignition feed to the ECU (gas) .....i am thinking that the Injectors oare cutting the Gas out.........
Its a Morelli System , Steve from Hytek is helping me to fit....which looks easy and i have done most stuff bar the above....................but i assumed if i disconnected it all then the Gas side would not work leaving the Injectors open?

I suppose the way of telling is to take the injector cuts off...........
would rather not as its a pain.

i stripped out the old Marini system compleytely and reconnected the origional wires and it donnt work......so i assume its the injector feeds?

that all said...........................would the ECU need programming before even the petrol side worked? I was informed it would be ok before setting it up

Just link together each pair of cuts temporarily thus taking the LPG unit out of the equation.

No, the petrol injector leads are switched by normally closed relay contacts. They are in circuit when there is no power to the gas ECU.

ok..........
when i got the loom it had these leads attached..........i unplug one origional injector feed and plug it into a plug and the new lead plugs into the injector.
it repleces the origional leads.........or have i done it arese around face and plugged the fly lead into the wrong bit. Maybe i have plugged them in the wrong way
it does make sort of sense

Aah! Looms. Then there is a good possibility that you have the wrong set of cuts.
There are two types - inverted and non-inverted. The cuts could be in the wrong wires.

One of the reasons that I cut'n'shut the injector wires near to the ECU wherever possible.

Although thinking about it, I don't think that would prevent running on petrol. Would prevent running on gas, certainly.
