Gave mine a quick wash due to a pebble dashing of seagull poop this week.

Noticed afterwards water coming from the bonnet and boot release buttons, that will be the sunroof drain again.

I removed the awful exhaust that some clown put on previously, it's been replaced by a standard system and what a difference! It makes a lovely sound too, I'm not sure why anyone would want anything different.

Over the last few days I have removed the interior to a) fix the major leak, b) allow the carpet to dry in this heatwave and c) give the interior a valet.

The leak was the sunroof drains - done!

Today, I have started refitting the interior.

Went for this new look. Bought some spare rear lights and masked them and painted the bits red.

Keeping the original lights so I can pass the MOT.

I can already hear the screams of anguish from some here, when they see the amount of dust on your car.

Not all today but in the last 10 days I have completed a marathon 3 day engine swap, pulling the dead one out and then taking the donor engine from another car and dropping it into mine (with help from a local mechanic) the bottom ball joints were a real pain in the butt and took two hours to separate snapping two ball joint breakers in the process! installation was followed by a full service completed at 10.40 at night, then refitted the repainted slam panel, front drivers wing and repaired the knackered front bumper (still not 100% happy with it) Then new front pads and some replacement bulbs before embarking on a 6 day 1200 mile shakedown cruise the next morning around southern England where she performed flawlessly except for the fact the horn wasn't connected (forgotten to reconnect in the rush to finish the engine swap). Thank god the aircon worked. Spent this weekend washing and polishing, removed front end again and fitting a twin horn harness and horns, reconnected the loom this time and re fitted the front end and gave the headlights another polish as the newly applied sealer had turned opaque! They are now crystal clear oh and fixed the leak from the headlight washer system she had when I sold her originally in 2012!
