Looking forward to the "how to" Racerock. I did contact the Mod about the info you passed to them before but never received a reply.

Yella Fella: You could say the same about all the controls that are factory illuminated......we all know where the headlamp switch is, but thats illuminated.

Its not about why the steering controls aren't illuminated, its the fact that some of us feel they should have been. Certainly most contemporary cars of this era had illuminated steering wheel controls.

(Oh, and I REALLY light lights)

Be good if the horn buttons were illuminated too

Horn buttons are easy......I can't see how to effectively illuminate the radio/cruise buttons so I'm looking forward to see ing the finished "How To"

Well I can tell you, that if you cut the black Earth earth wire for the horn, every thing still works as it's still earthed to the chassis, as its has another earth screwed to the steering wheel.

and I am now using the earth wire as the live for the illumination.

Well all done, using the earth wire for the live feed for the illumination.
Just mounting the bulbs in the stereo controls was tricky, the cruise controls were easy as.

So have you drilled through the pcb and fixed the led's to the board? It certainly seems to be illuminating well.......I was thinking of drilling small holes in the pcb just big enough to allow the led pins through, then bend the led pins to shine directly at the legend through the plastic.......

Hi Alex,Congratulations on a. simpler version than my somewhat "over engineered)version.Power to your elbow,I did mine about two years ago,and it was the first.I guess I can cease work on the "how to",remove it and hand over the reigns to you if that is OK.Regards
