Road Trips and Days Out Thread
From time to time members post up asking about days out and road trips in different areas.
If you have a favourite drive or day out post up on this thread and let us know. The intention is that a database will be built up in each region and a PDF available for each road trip or day out can be downloaded. So let's see what drives you enjoy most in your 75 or ZT ( or any other car for that matter) Scottish Region |

Not in a 75 but I’ve always said this road trip was the most memorable in my life.
On holiday in Florida we had decided after the previous year with the family using a minivan, this time we would hire a convertible as we were going down the Keys. On arrival at Sanford the Chrysler Sebring Convertible was not available so we got an upgrade to a Ford Mustang Convertible. After a few days at Daytona we drove to Miami Beach where I have relatives then onto Key West. It was the drive from just south of Miami down to Key West which stuck in my mind. It was absolutely fabulous with the Gulf of Mexico on one side and The Straights of Florida on the other side almost all the way. Between two of the “keys” is Seven Mile Bridge” yes it’s a Bridge and it’s seven miles long. If you ever get the chance go for it and by the way Key West simply “ rocks” ! Key West and the rest of that area got hit quite bad with a hurricane just last year but it will bounce back again. |
