Default ABS bleeding using diagnostic tools?

One criticism of the pscan.eu tool is that it does not yet support the bleeding mode of the ABS controller.

I now have better access to cars to develop on, as well as a real T4 to try things out.

The bleeding mode on the ABS controller worries me though. Can it do any harm to a car that doesn't have air in the brakes? The car that I have access to doesn't have anything wrong with the brakes and so I am I little reticent to try this out.
