Default Windows 7 paint..

Hi, how do you convert a normal colour picture to black and white??

Don't think you can in Paint. Only to a monochrome bitmap, ie just black and white, no grays.
Try Gimp http://www.gimp.org/downloads/ free download.

Gimp will do the job, but it can be a bit confusing to use, if you do find it confusing, then I would recommend Paint.net http://www.dotpdn.com/files/Paint.NET.3.5.8.Install.zip

Thanks guys, I downloaded a free application to my iPhone and between that and photobucket for the iPhone I have managed to convert a few pics. I'm sure on Windows XP paint you could convert it!?
