Default Windscreen wipers don't move with Windscreen wash/wipe

I've noticed an intermittent problem with the windscreen wipers on my recently acquired 75.
When using the windscreen wash wipe function by pulling back on the right hand steering wheel stalk,
sometimes the windscreen wipers remain stationary in the parked position.
All other windscreen wiper functions, i.e., intermittent
wipe, slow/fast wipe, single wipe, all work normally.

In this event Adrian, do the washer jets function normally?

Yes, washer jets squirt water onto the windscreen, but
Wipers remain stationary.

Isn't this a setting in Toaf? Not in a position to check at the moment.

That's an odd one Adrian, especially as it's an occasional fault.
You could try re-seating the two wiper relays in the engine compartment fusebox.

The BCU controls the wipers. Do you have any other body related faults?

Simon

Only body related fault appears to be with with the offside number plate lamp, but that appears to be a dodgy connection in the lamp assembly itselt.

Just a random though, do you have headlight washers fitted?

If so, do they work every time you activate the screen was?
