Default She's home!

For those of you who haven't been in the East Kirkby thread, Bones is now home, and running very sweet! She drove home a treat, although just to annoy me it looks like my front ABS sensor has now died along with my speedo lol! What a devil she is! She looks way better than I remembered after 6 months, and I've given her a polish today. Lots more to do, though. Onward, onward!

Trikey reminds me of Gandalf in that picture - but of course he is a wizard with our cars

Same problem I had recently: my bearings were dead, but in the first set Matt had sent me one or two ABS ring(s) were faulty.
Without any bickering Matt sent me again a new pair, a good one and hey presto the problem was sorted out.

I have a feeling this is the sensor. My old diesel did the same thing after it had been disturbed to fit new springs. It comes and goes. Sometimes the speedo and ABS are on, some not. I have a sensor, so will get someone to put that on and try it.

Great news Dawn.
When I was over at Trikey's place I saw bones sat there and was toying with the idea of doing a John Cleese and giving the car a damn good thrashing only kidding tho. Most would have sent the car to the scrap man by now but glad you have all persevered to get him sorted.

I've already toyed with the John Cleese idea several times, as Andy knows! She looks really nice polished up, and now I think its just a few teething problems after the rebuild to sort, carpet and airbag light hopefully next week at the Nano, new grille on its way...ABS thing now to do.

Phew, so much to do yet actually, and also on my list to save up for is a bit of a refurb on her wheels. They spoil her now, but I like the ride the crowns provide so want to keep them.

And yes, its a very lucky car it hasn't been scrapped several times over!!!!

Hi Dawn,

After all of the tribulations it is good to know that you are back on the road and your persistence has been rewarded.
