I’m popping over to see him with the T4 but I’m suspecting injector leakback, we will see what T4 says

Cheers Mick I can't thank you enough for all your help last night u went well beyond the call of duty, just to clarify I put 12 litres of diesel in and jacked car so she was level and still no response just turns over no fire up I have ordered a intank pump and another ubp as I'm taking the other one back as it could be duff just eliminating all possibilities as now extremely desperate as board a ferry this Saturday morning at 6.40am I've also asked for Friday off from work so let's see what happens, once again Mick thanks for your time and expertise it is very much appreciated

HI Richard.
What was the full diagnosis from Mick with the T4 could the under bonnet pump be heard working ? what was the high & low pressure readings of fuel.

Sometimes it can be the O-rings on the HPFP but I am sure Mick checked all these what UBP have you ordered hopefully it is a Pierburg one as after market ones tend to fail after a short time good luck and keep us informed please as you have done, little link for O-ring kit if needed.

Artic,Mick is a utter legend he went through all the possible scenarios and solutions,my ubp is a original pierburg and seems to function,I managed to buy the only pump I could afford from eurocarparts on a Sunday morning was PNM pump but both seem to put out just over 1 bar,my intank pump is kaput ,but I've ordered another ubp better quality and a intank pump but time is against me as booked for a ferry and holiday in France of which the rover was destined,Mick also did numerous tests including leak back but this result was negative so not the injector,it can only be intank pump, perhaps Mick can be a bit more technical

The only alternative I can pursue is buying another rover with tow bar as clock is ticking and not in my favour
