T4 Owners near Stockport
I have the airbag light on and checked the connectors and it went off, but it came back on checked again and no cure. however if the car is cold the light comes on and stays on, but if I switch off and start up again the light is not on until the car is again cold.
I read on another forum that this is due to the SRS ECU quirky software flagging up stored error codes. This can be cured by T4 clearing the ECU of the stored code(s). So looking for anyone near to Stockport that has a T4. |

I'd guess your closest may be BigRuss in Liversedge 40 odd miles away.

Horners in Swinton, used them once to check an air bag light fault - not really impressed - they were 'helpful and willing' "..did I want any options adding/removing sir" but eventually made a much better job of fixing it myself (using some of the info. they got me). Having the kit and being able to interpret the real cause of the generated code is important.....SRS is notorious on our cars so I'm being picky.
They are just down the road and didn't charge an unreasonable T4 fee |

I'm often in Salford, not a T4 but can read/clear airbag error codes easily enough.
If you stop by the unit I can clear them off no charge |

If the light is coming and going it will be an underseat connector, the other related airbag items tend to stay on permanently

Wot he said. Plenty advice on here regards fixing intermittant light faults. IMHO just don't go cutting off the underseat connectors, in most cases they work fine and just need some TLC; there is an MGRover Technical Bulletin that fixes most connector/plug related issues at the cost of a couple of cable ties.
