Default The Airbag Light problem

Have read much on this issue. I have both a 2001 75 Club and a 2004 75 Club. Both have had airbag light issues the 2001 easily solved due to front seat sensors. But the 2004 after cleaning etc sensors under front seats still the light stays on!!!.My problem is being in Australia it is a bit of a journey to find a T4. So my question is how can I find the problem without using a T4, would it be a painful process for a auto electrician? Also can someone send me a picture of how they fix the front seat sensors. I have seen much discussion on this re soldering etc but some pictures would be a great help. The consensus is that 90% of the problem are the sensors under the front seats. If they are okay what is the next most likely source of the problem?

Cheers

Hello Jeffrey,

I had a similar trouble with my previous 75.
First what i did is i bought connectors off Ebay (see the link)...

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10-Kit-2-Pin-Way-Waterproof-Electrical-Wire-Connector-Plug-BTSZUK/281856776777?epid=2095306935&hash=item419ff91a49:g 0AAAOSweuxWToMZ

So i changed the connectors under both seats (which demands unbolting both seats, maybe 1.5 hours job).

But no success. After that i changed the airbag modul which is under the handbrake and that solved my issue...

Let's wait for someone else with some more ideas.
Cheers

Thanks for the feedback. What is involved in changing the airbag module under the handbrake?

TOAF is a free download and, with a cheap eBay OBD cable, will allow you to read the SRS errors to see what is triggering the light. Then you can point your electrician at it

Hello Friend
if you can not access a session of T4,
I recommend that you install TOAF
it has helped me in a problem also with the airbag
It is quite easy to use

Yes. You must be ever cautious and back up any files you plan to 'adjust'.

There are lots of discussions which should be found by running a custom search for 'TOAF'.
