If I were to spend top dollar on a V8, I'd have THIS one.

Cheaper, and no recommissioning required.

You could always look at this one in Germany BUT a RHD car that appears to have taken a wrong turn and got lost!

Seriously, as Steve says, once you start actually driving an ultra-low miles, ultra expensive car, the value plummets. So don't drive it? Like being an expensive stamp collector!

My Rover 75 V8 was as no way that kind of silly price, but I assure you I get exactly the same pleasure from driving her, and she looks every bit as good as that one in Germany (same Chatsworth colour too) ... and a dead reliable daily drive as well, diamond-cut Vortex's and all.

I have seen the V8 in the showroom at SMG Rover or Hursley Hill Garage.

Most of the MG Rover cars they have for sale or advertised are normally low mileage but not the cheapest cars.

Hopefully it will get to a point in the future where our cars will fetch the same sort of prices.

The seats in that one in Germany aren't the standard seats are they? Or were they specific to the Rover V8?

I always think photos like that show how well these cars have aged, it doesn't look out of place in a showroom, sparkling like new.

Not V8 specific, they are Monogram classic style seats which I believe were available as a special order. Here's another set: https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/s...hlight=Gryphon

Ah right, thanks. They look good, a little more modern than standard 75 seats, but still in keeping with the class of the car!

The V6 ZT they have is more realistic.
10,000. for a new car is cheaper that a Dacia Sendero!

But the sandero has not been sitting around, just think of all the seals, bearings etc that have not moved in years!

It would still be the lowest cost way to drive a brand new 4+ litre V8!

£30k for the car, £10k for recommissioning, the owner ends up with a 75 for the the price of a basic Ford Mustang which I believe is the cheapest V8 to purchase brand new?
