Default Holiday in dawlish

Of to bed soon for a few hours kip before setting of with the 75 pulling our trailer tent at 4 in the morning.going from Darlington to dawlish warren a distance of 360 miles. The first holiday in the rover.got the car booked in the car show at powderham castle with the club sw region. .
Stopping at lead stone camping. We've been going for well over 20 years.if any of you like a quiet site have a look at this one
We are going for 10 days and its only 140 pounds for both of us and that's with electric hook up

So if any of you see a gold 75 pulling a trailer tent on the road heading south give us a wave .right of to bed now.roll on the 3 am alarm call

Have a fantastic time. I last went there a decade ago, left behind a Volvo estate after the head gasket went on it.

Now there's irony !!

Enjoy your trip Dave, when you get back, we will have to arrange getting those carpets done. Working on the coaches until 20th, so speak to you after then.

Had a lovely day at Exmouth today.went from dawlish to Starcross in car then caught foot ferry to exmouth.nice walk along sea front.what a great beach.then into town for a bit to eat .a nice walk through a park & gardens back to seafront. Sat on beach and went for paddle.then went down to harbour for ferry . Had a bit of time to kill so went for a ice cream.then wanted a wee so had to go in the pub and have a pint so I could use the loo.it's a hard life down here on holiday. While in Exmouth seen a blue rover 75 been used as a taxi.first time in many a year I've seen one as a taxi.people down here do things in style then back on ferry to Starcross and a 4 mile drive down to leadstone camping. Tuesday night the pizza van is on site so had one for tea.now going to open a couple of cans and relax after a good day.it's a hard life this holiday lark

Another great couple of days in dawlish.wed we went into Teignmouth had a look around.what a lovely place.took a boat trip up the coast and back from the harbour nice hour & a bit. Then had a bit of lunch back to leadstone campsite before walking 5 minutes to nearest pub for nice meal and watch match.today went to Torquay and went on ferry to Brixham nice look round and had a bit of lunch before catching ferry back to Torquay. Now sat outside tent having a whisky.

Operamagorum I can recommend leadstone camping when you come down.as long as you want a quiet site with no nightclubs and drunks coming back at 2 in the morning.we often sit outside tent till midnight with a whisky and Jo on the wine..they have a website if you are interested. Let me know what you think dave
