Default Air conditioning pipe for MG ZT 2004

Is this something I can easily fit myself or would I need a professional? The rubber has a hole in it and I understand it would need re gassing after.

Hope its the right one the rubber looks a bit short.

Thanks Pat

Yes you could fit it your self if it is the right pipe/hose, and yes you would need to have the gas replaced, maybe also the O-ring.

Don't be tempted to recharge the system with one of these kits you can buy online or in Halfrauds. You MUST vacuum the system out first or it will leave moisture in there that will freeze and damage the compressor.

Also don't get Halfords to charge the system, they don't know what they are doing and can do more damage that good, find a local independent or even a mobile guy. They have a reputation and usually do a good job. Its not just a matter of putting some gas in.

Looks like I got the wrong pipe as this is the one that's needed.

JUF000581 number 12 in the diagram below

I think the bumper and lights need to come off in order to fit this part.
