Default Windrush update

Hi all been talking to Lilian and Derek has had a relaps and he is not very good at all so we wish him a good recovery still got big problems with his chest.

I think his biggest problem is he has been home for over 4 weeks and still doesn't have an at home oxygen supply. Somebody needs a serious kick up the ass!

Needless to say Derek, you both have all my love and best wishes for a speedy recovery. I will make a special effort to come up and see you both as promised just after new year, when things have settled down, down here a bit better. Love to you both.

British Oxygen Patient Services.....this is worth trying.... Give them a call and ask about setting it up for Derek at home as an emergency. It’s a nationwide service. They should be able to get the ball rolling, but it’s really the job of the community nurses to be doing this. Derek is much better when his O2 levels are back up. It’s appalling how Derek was to have Oxygen therapy set up at home prior to discharge from hospital, then suddenly he didn’t need it and how he was sent home is shoddy and poor.

He was saying last couple of days, he wasn’t feeling too good. Seems a failure of aftercare to me

Just had a phone call from Lilian and they have taken Derek back in hospital as he is very poorly lets hope he gets back to normal this time.
