Just an idea
I like the community spirit of our forum and the generosity of nature, one member to another. In the years I have been on here I have been on the receiving end of helpful advice and tips many times, and I hope, have given a little back too.
So here's my idea: Every once in a while I read post from members having problems with their car that they are struggling to fix because of a health problem of some sort (often short term, often sudden). If it happened to a member down the road form me I'd be happy to pop along and do the repair or fit the part. So how about we set up a register of members who are 1, handy with the spanners and 2, willing, where possible, to help out someone who finds themselves stuck with a repair because of a health problem? Just an idea. |

Hi Jonathan. I think that is a lovely idea, both from the point of helping members out, and especially if they are ill, either long term or short term.

I'd be up for this - I can cover the basics and willing to follow instructions for anything more technical

A great idea especially for members like me being 84 and find it very difficult to carry out any manual tasks

I think the idea was suggested last year.
I made an offer to help with the rear suspension arms. macafee2 |

Great idea I would be happy to offer my help when needed, and would luv to think someone may do the same for me if/when needed.
Trouble is though, there is only me and DorsetBob down this neck of the woods, so there is not many folk we can help without travelling some distance. You lot need to move down south, much nicer weather down this way. |
