Ended up spending the past two days detailing and valeting my Dad's Peugeot 3008. Shocker!
Had my first attempt at machine polishing a car. Obviously wouldn't want to ruin my beautiful shiny 75, so my Dad's Peugeot was the perfect test subject! |

Got in all (hopefully) the materials to fix the leak on my conservatory. Luckily, my local timber merchants deliver. It's a valley gutter attached between a capped low wall and the conservatory roof. Water has been running down the cracks in the pointing in the wall and has rotted the timber lining to the valley. The capped wall will have to be lowered to get the valley gutter timbers out and replaced, stripping and reinstalling the lead lining in the process (hopefully without damage!). The design is almost as good as the sill on the Rover and has lasted just about the same length of time! Needless to say, there will be many "improvements" to the repaired gutter! Laters! Mike

At least I got a bargain 1/2 tank of petrol on the way home and gave the ZT a good run on a beautiful sunny day! I may even get around to doing the suspension arms tomorrow.

Old valley gutter stripped out, tomorrow's job is lining the new timbers, waterproofing and fitting the lead lining and damp courses (which it didn't have before!). Happy days not on my 75 😐😥.

Needed to get some fresh air so went out to repaint the outside of the garage. Luckily I had some product as I like to get it painted twice a year as it’s wood. I also found some electrical cleaner so may even contemplate refitting the 75’s sat nav drive tomorrow.

Up early so I’ve polished the Hyundai Ioniq and the Fiat 500s before the sun got too warm, is 9.45 to early for a beer? It’s going to be a hot day in Cumbria.

Cutting the grass is next once I’ve cooled down a bit, the freshly painted garage should be completely dry now so any wayward cuttings won’t stick to it... the outside temp gauge on the 75 is indicating a nice 14 degrees
