Definitely should be honoured IMO, we paid a fair chunk more and sold them for £6.99 each.

HI Mat
Do you have the tyre protectors for £13.00 a pair/set & what is the postage? or is that included.

The ‘clearance items’ in the brochure need to be accessed in the following manner, in order to get the brochure price.
From the homepage, go to current offers and promotions, then swipe across to the MG Rover ad...click that.

I bought a set of tyre protectors yesterday from Rimmers for £12 over the phone they didn’t change the price I placed my order at 16.30 it arrived today at 13.30 brilliant service in my opinion and I’d rather pay the £3-4 more to Rimmers for real MG rover spares than supposed MG rover originals from dmgrs that are in actual fact Chinese made. parts postage was £1 more than Dmgrs charges for the “ahem” 3-5 day (more like a week if your lucky) postage and cheaper than dmgrs “fast 2-3 day postage which is usually 5 working days.
If your so worried about safety why did you put the price of the front arm mounting bushes back up?
Continueing on the safety kick which has really got my goat I have one word for you TAZO remember the master cylinder debacle where you swore black was white nothing was wrong and refused refunds? they were utter junk and you knew about the problems and kept selling them so don’t come on all holier than thou about safety items! In the end you offered a part refund to those that had purchased the tazo junk when you should have replaced the items and given full refunds
While I’m on it why say “from £3.50” for an item when that’s the cost of a fitting kit not the item? Which borders on false advertising something Rimmers don’t do?
Oh and Rimmers are often cheaper for various items if you look such as the rear lower arms which in their non Mg Rover oe spec (ie the same ones you sell).

I don’t work for Rimmers or have any link to them but they have always provided fantastic service while every time I have purchased from you it has been a very very poor experience and you only respond when comments are made on Facebook and when I complained your 5 working days turned into 7 and had cost me money booking ramp time I was told “don’t book until the parts arrive” I use my car daily I need to be able to plan ahead and factored in your delivery times which are frankly appalling for a modern business when eBay can deliver in 24-48 hrs as can Rimmers or any other car parts company!
I really hope the new owner doesn’t follow the same pattern of operation.

I had the sale brochure and got excited when I saw they were selling Tourer body sides for £60. Then I saw that was the o/s - I need a n/s. Just my luck!

I always buy from Rimmers or BS Motors (ecp2004). One gets excellent service, straightforward answers and neither of them ever make slighting remarks about other suppliers.

Rimmers' parts diagrams, used by all on the forum free of charge, are responsible for a lot of our cars still being on the road and should encourage every Rover/MG owner to support them by giving them our business IMO.

This was purely down to it being a safety item, and I'd rather get more out there than have people hesitate due to cost.
On second thoughts,

Excellent - I need a few safety items for the cupboard. Four new premium tyres, fuel tank strap and a set of brake discs/pads. Oh, I'll happily cancel my clutch replacement booking with another trader if you are willing to fit a CDT clutch.

Cost price of parts will be fine and happy to pay reasonable actual P&P charges.

Thanks in advance for your enlightened and ethical approach to doing business.

I’m not getting into another handbagging session with the usual culprits, but it’s worthy of note that the diagrams on Rimmers are from XPart.

As always we’re keen to work with members to bring them parts at the best prices possible - but not to be endlessly slated by a certain few for past issues.
Any genuine queries are welcomed via PM, and we look forward to working with as many members of the club as possible going forward.

lol, you may not realise it but Rimmers class stuff as original if they come from X-part. We are what, 13 years after Rover went bust, how many Rover dealers still have stock original stock of "fast" moving items that were made by Rover suppliers when Rover were still around?
