Hi Andy, I suppose as long as it's stone chipped I could paint the sills later if I can find a good rear bumper it would make the cost of the paint worthwhile . Only been looking for a bumper on and off since 2009 !

I'm after a mk 1 tourer rear bumper in moonstone with brackets but without parking sensor holes. If I can't get the right colour I could borrow a spray gun and have a go changing the colour but it's all extra expense.

For members in the South this chap in Winchester may be worth getting in touch with:

His work was documented in a thread here

Edit: Link updated as it was wrong - apologies.

As always a very informative thread.

Climbing on my hobby horse - great to see recommendations for the "little guys" who do quality work. Always my choice if possible.

Do it once, do it right, don't do it again for a long time. Surely the best way?

Thanks.

Andy.

And for a quick update on that particular car's repair - just popped out on to my drive and yes it still looks as good as new.
