My DD unit has received the software upgrade for the "hiss", when I do a "Factory reset" will that version of the software be applied or the "original version" Is there a way I could check what version is loaded.

The factory reset as far as I remember does not roll back the firmware update.
Sean will be able to confirm this for definite
If you go into settings there is a tab which tells you all the details of your unit, version number etc.

I did a factory reset post hiss fix and it stayed fixed, so no worries there.

you dont have to wait , We actually have one on our Bench in Clacton with the new Android On it, We are just feeling it out and reporting back to the factory

I have installed the reversing camera, had a picture once, but now it is not working. Looking at the transmitters, one has a blue light the other a red light, is this normal?
Also the blue wire on the front receiver i have attached to the blue back wire on the unit, i have read somewhere it should be attached to the green/brown wire behind the dash, which is correct??
