How can I tell re intercooler
My whistling noise gets worse and I think it is intercooler side, now I know about the orings but previously thought that it was 2004 dependant whether it was a job to do. Now I discover all is not cut and dried can anyone tell me if I can see which intercooler connections I have without dismantling?

The joints in question are located behind the front bumper on the RHS. I suppose you may be able to see them if you put the front on ramps and remove the flimsey plastic under panel attached to the bumper edge and the wheel arch liner. I doubt you'll be able to work on them though.
I believe there's a comprehensive photo guide on this problem in the How To section. TC |

NOPE sorry!, cant work on them without bumper/headlight out i'm afraid due to lack of space.
You can, however, check by looking down the side of the radiator to where the intercooler pipe goes in, if there a black sticky oily looking mess, then chances are the pipes out. |
