Has anybody else noticed ITV4 is showing the New Avengers, usually 4.50pm repeated the following morning. Thought I'd post this for those of us who grew up fantasising about Purdey aka Joanna Lumley

There does however, seem to be a familiar theme running through the cars used in the series though!

I preferred the cars in the Professionals, they used some BL and later Ford due to the problems that surrounded BL at the time.

watched an episode the other day with Ian Hendry in.Looking up a query regarding the 4 female leads and was shocked to read that when the original avengers was screened ,that the main character was not steed,in fact it was a doctor (IIRC) character played by The aforementioned Ian Hendry....apparently steeds character became the prominent one and Hendrys character moved on...all these years and never knew this snippet of information.
