Turned cloudy here with rain threatened first then drying up later. I managed to find a place that sells purified water nearby yesterday, 3.5p per litre plus vat, somI filled my tank last night with 136 litres, cost me a tad under £6; so I will go there again tonight and fill up until my new part arrives.

Good morning Richard, it looks as though something is going right for you. What do you use purified water for?

My next task is to remove cement spills and splats from the windows and metal window frames using an old credit card and a sponge. I bought 5 litres of vinegar to use. Unfortunately we don’t have any products such as “Cement off” for the purpose. Today it’s 28C, so not as unpleasant as the weather you have to work in.

Morning all.

The stair rods rain has eased up and it's now just grey and dismal.

SWMBO had her cast off yesterday. Foot noticeably swollen but that's to be expected. Otherwise all is looking good.

Phone/video appointment with the physios is set for Monday. Anyone got some spare earplugs so I can dampen the screaming when the exercises are being done .

Had my Covid jab yesterday. Shoulder is a bit sore but otherwise all OK.

And some great news.....

Quizzie's best friend - a golden retriever called Bertie - is coming home today. Home being about a mile away from us . He was due to be a buddy dog but after 6 months of waiting he's coming home for good. It seems the Covid stuff has mucked up all the trial/settlement protocols and it's unfair on him to just keep him in limbo. Photos soon.

Take care.

Morning folks - a bit of a nothing morning here today. It's not really dry, but it's not really raining ("roking on" as we say in these parts), it's not really warm, but neither is it really cold.
Waiting for my fortnightly Morrisons delivery today. Being a helpful sort of bloke, I asked both my next door neighbour and my daughter if they would like me to tack anything onto my order. Result - an order to the value of £93, of which only £53 is ours
Mind you, we get all the Morrisons More points

Pleased to say that the pain in my shoulder/arm following my vaccine jab on Monday has now cleared.
