OK, do you have access to the control box? If so, is there +12v ignition on the yellow wire?

I will try work out correctly , control box you mean near fan? and yellow wire is that see picture?
if that then no more as I drive car every day and fit all front in one piece and if I can know what cable is on the plug then I possibly can have access to wire from plug

Thanks for the photo Boriss. Yes, it's that yellow wire.

If you can arrange access to the two large connectors (whilst using the car) then we're in business!

Identify the plug with thick brown/blue, yellow/blue and blue/red wires.
Separate it.
Place your DC voltmeter between the yellow/blue wire and earth (ideally battery -ve).
Switch on the ignition.
Do you see +12v?

Simon

Good, thank you. You say "yellow wire" so do you have access to the control box at the moment? If so, with the engine running and the windscreen demist button pressed, are you getting +12v on the thick red wire?

Simon

OK, here's an unconventional short cut then!
  1. Locate the other connector, with blue/yellow, blue and black wires.
  2. Separate it.
  3. On the male plug, from the control box, locate the terminal with the plain blue wire.
  4. Attach a wire to the plug terminal and connect it to earth.
  5. Start the engine and press the windscreen demist button.
  6. Does the fan run at slow speed?

Simon
