Where do I get an sdcard for the navigation? Place a 32GB TF card in the left slot and download MapFactor GPS Navigation from the Google Playstore. HERE...
The maps are stored on the card, so no data connection is needed. Free monthly updates including safety cameras.

There are several navigation apps on the Playstore, they all work well, but I have found Mapfactor seems to be the best of them all.
Website HERE...

Regarding the wiring, you will need to do this...

... and this...

Right - off to strip out the console....
I'll check back in bit.
If it’s the ones that Dallas recommended last year it comes with a built in card with maps pre-installed ( which can’t be removed)

Ah, now that is quite different to how the back of mine looks..
The case on mine is the same shape as the original bordmonitor display, except it goes back a bit further. Having plugged in (after disconnecting the h/line units it seems to work correctly except for the steering wheel controls. there's a canbus box attached to it's wiring loom and an swc item in the menu, I haven't managed to get that to do anything yet.
Going to cut off the back stop for the bordmonitor then I think it should fit flush properly.

Well it's in. It's one of the units with cd-player sold for e46 (same general shape as bordmonitor but goes a little further back, quite a tight fit).- has radio with rds, plays cd/dvd/sdcard/bluetooth/usb/ipod. Pressed for navigation and found it looking for kudosmap.exe - found the site and (eventually very slow site) downloaded a trial version which is now up and running. IIRC I think I paid £60-70 for it second half of last year. Seems to be working pretty well so far.

Sorry i’m new to this site!
Just checked original posting and the item is listed now at €84.59c. Which equates to about £75. Still seems a good buy. Unless someone knows a better deal?
Thanks.

Any pictures? Also to save me re-reading all 78 pages can you post a link to the one you bought please?

Thanks
