I bought one of those from Xtrons, and they sent me the wrong one but did refund the money without wanting this one back. Then the MG7 fascia was out of stock at that price, so good luck if you order from them.

I hit the order button just to see what would happen, and got an email within 24 hours to say that because I was ordering 2 of the fascia surrounds and they only had one in stock, there would be a delay of about a week to my order and they hoped that would be alright. That seems fair enough and if it's genuine, hopefully I'll have my surrounds soon after the 24th.

After removing a bracket from inside the aperture, it looks as though it'll all fit quite nicely. Now I just have to track down a car audio spark who'll be able to connect it all up for me - I won't be tackling it myself as it's not the sort of job to be taken on by anyone who's colour-blind ...

Tested 3G dongle (Huawei E1750) and it works great with this radio model.

I've already got an old Navall in mine (5 years/ish) but I made the mistake of putting the android boot sim in and can't get it back to Wince now! Didn't know I wouldn't be able to go back or I wouldn't have done it. The android version is awful - I can't get the WiFi on to put on any apps, can't play music off my phone etc- I'm told it's just really out of date and nowt else will go on it. The guy who installed it - Radioguy - has been really helpful but i think it's just better to fit something more up to date.
If I already have this installed and am looking for a Chinese bargain ... Can anybody recommend one as the prices vary incredibly for what seem to be very similar devices ... Presume I already have the equipment needed to connect from what is already installed ? |

Just installed another Android device, not as cheap as this one, but a 7.1.2 Android and thanks for installation notes. Have sorted steering wheel buttons and now have a fully working steering wheel!
Before: After: A few niggles though: -The orange on the buttons doesn't turn to blue to match the rest of the dash. -The canbus decoder box is amazing as it links up with the car. It knows when lights on and off and work with the dimmer too. Still to test with a bluetooth obd thingy and use the torque app. Will be browsing a few apps as some are a bit naff and cheesy and there's some personalisation to be done with the android device. Anyone know of any cooler launchers? backgrounds? |

So finally I'm going to have a go at fitting my bargain 2din today. Two questions:
Do I need to swap over the lives in the square plug? Where do I get an sdcard for the navigation? Right - off to strip out the console.... I'll check back in bit.
