According to the wiring diagram on these the pink wire connects to the handbrake and the brown wire to the reverse, it was always the opposite way round on the other double dins. Not sure if it will do any harm if wires are wrong way round!

Steve.
I have a reversing camera connected, you just need to connect the 'Brown' trigger wire from the DD loom to the 'Red' wire on the reverse camera cable coming from the RCA plug. You will need to connect the 'Yellow' RCA plug from the reverse camera cable to the 'Camera' input jack at the back of the DD unit.

The 'Pink' parking brake wire is for use when watching DVD's, not watching DVD's when driving (parking brake must be applied). But this option can be turned off, or some people connect the wire to ground, or wire-in a switch, or buy the special adaptor unit.

Here is my reverse camera, you can even connect a front camera, or even a dash camera.

It is an An-21u unit. I just updated the firmware to 2.9.5 from the factory 2.9.3. (nothing changed except the desktop stile and the setting passwords)

Thanks Dallas I get all these but can't get the unit to dim through the orange wire when I put my lights on, so just wondering if this works with anyone else ?

Thanks

Isn't the 'Orange' illumination wire just to control the LED display buttons on the DD unit.
e.g the DD unit can be off, but when you turn on your headlights, the DD unit lights up the LED illumination only on the buttons along with the dash illumination.

I have connected the yellow/red wires to the positive crocodile clip on my 12v powerbank and the black wire to the neg. The h/u doesn't light up, the powerbank has 9.9 volts in it, could that be the problem?. I am charging it up now. Thanks, John.

Yes, the voltage is too low. It will be fine after you charged the battery

The orange wire control the LED display buttons and the LCD brightness as well.

So the orange wire should work the same as on a standard head unit and dim if set to auto, can anyone who has one of these units confirm please
