Default webasto not working....an update

having changed the pcb, still it would not burst into life although the water pump seemed to be working.

No good as it was I swopped the webasto heaters and put the right pcb into the heater and........ its working.

I let it run for 10 minutes or so. I thought it was faulty as it shut down but then fired up again. The hoses were getting hot and where I had lost coolant and topped it up the level dropped so I knew it was pumping. Not adding too much coolant each time had to do this a few times.

I may remove the exhaust and give it a bit of a bend as it does not seem to be over the hole in the under tray but a bit to one side.

I have to go an refit the dozing pump bracket back onto the car and then that it will be it for the day.
I intend to fit the other pcb to see if it works and if not then it will be on its way to Frenchmike in the new year.

I think I will also fit the other heater again may be in the summer just to check it is faulty.

I have made the decision, I not going to sell the spare heater and pump once working but keep it as a sapre.

The working heater and pump came from seanacar about a year ago but never fitted until today.

thank you for the hep and advice given and to those that had put how to's up as I read those too.

I'm please, cold but pleased

thanks again

If you want to hone your FBH fitting skills, I have one that needs fitting.
I need to pull my thumb out of somewhere first.
