It's what you do when you have control of the market...... It's all about making money..... beats me why the Arab countries sell the stuff so cheap so that the western infidels can tax the **** out of it......

Hi all. Signed the petition a few weeks ago. sent e.m. to the M.P for this area, and had a reply back, how about that. Said that she "understand's" the frustration that people feel about the price of fuel.
I intend sending another e.m and giving her a "g-up" call, asking her what she has done about it in practice to date. Will let everyone know the reply.

Might be a good time to do one for road tax to, as road tax now goes up at the rate of RPI which means after your next tax disc expires it will go up by a minimum of £30

Default Your Fuel Petition.

I guess we Aussies can not sign your petition. But we do empathize with you.
Motorists here in Australia are complaining about the steep increase in fuel prices - especially those who travel hundreds of kilometres each week.
Our current prices per litre here in Melbourne, Australia are, 91 RON petrol - AUD 139.4 cents; 95 RON AUD 148.6 cents; 98 RON petrol AUD 156.5 cents.
The LPG price is AUD 68.6 cents/litre.
Admittedly, our prices are not as high as yours, but our travel distances can be much greater.
We recently had a visit from a Swedish family. They are only paying the equivalent of AUD 10.0 cents/litre. But then they are currently based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
I wish you the very best of luck with your efforts to reduce your fuel taxes and excise. The motorist has been milked for too long. Why? May be it is because it is an easy tax/excise to collect from the refiners.

Mmmm sorry to be such a party pooper on this but I really don't think signing this will reduce any prices.

Reducing our demand for Oil based fuels might have an effect or seeking an alternative energy which the Arabs can't sell would do it
