Hey Gaz, What settings do you have under the android 'Audio Profiles' setting?

If there is no separate volume to use, you could try downloading another voice.

Are you using the US Female voice in TTS settings, select the UK voice or used the PlayStore and download more voices, you may find a softer voice.

You could also try a specialised app from the PlayStore to see if that helps, try This one or This one, there seems to be many apps available, worth a try.

I'm simulating this using my own phone... Try going into android settings and select 'Language & Input' then select 'Text to Speech Output' then click on speech rate (you will have some speech rate options).

Re the slurry voice, if you hold down the top of the screen and slide it down it gives you access to a "speed" icon click on it, it will kill iGo & other apps that are running in the background and, then just restart iGo and the voice will be at normal speed.

You can add the TTS voice via the sounds and notifaction setting on the unit just look for UK TTS, the unit has Google Text-to-Speach already loaded on the system but it is very robotic. I think you can adjust the volume which and accoucment is being made turn the dolum down and it will should SAT VOLUME in a red slider.

I agree, on some devices this does work.
Start a navigation path and while the voice talks, turn the volume down which should set the volume with a slider bar.

Well done some testing over the last few days.

The standard voices can be adjusted with the volume knob, however TTS cannot be, it's not the software I have tried iGo, Copilot and Sygic.

Unit set using TTS.

iGo is too loud
Copilot no sound
Sygic is to low can hardly hear anything

I'm also having the same trouble with the Ipod classic. I have plugged it into one of the USB cables on the rear of the Navall, but when selecting Ipod on the screen it does nothing. Having just read the manual (picture below) it says to use the ipod cable provided with the device. Is this different to the USB cables?
