Default suspension query?

Are the coil springs from the rover 75 facelift cdti same as the mg zt cdti bmw engine? will they both fit each other?

They will fit. That said, although the suspension was the same basic design, the actual set up was quite different on the two cars.

The spring stiffness and dampers used on the ZT were intended for a much more "sporty" ride i.e stiffer harder ride with less body roll at speed. The 75 had a much softer pliant ride, but if it was your wont, you could I suppose change from one to the other. Whether it has been done, I couldn't say.

I think if I wanted to change from say a 75 to a ZT suspension setup, I think it would probably be easier and perhaps cheaper in time and money to sell one car and buy another.
