It's to obtain the "highest point" for bleeding air out of cooling system after being drained.

Newbies do now!!
1. Plenum drains..all 3 or 4 year dependent
2. Cooling fan..All speeds functioning
3. Bonnet cable divider block

Would its removal be the end of the world? The bypass fix looks a lot less hassle!
