Problem with seat motor - Advice please
Fitted replacement front seats yesterday - Problem is the passenger back rest will not recline - it will tilt forward but not back (the seat works in every other way) I intend to take the seat out again tomorrow to see if I can strip out the motor and hopefully investigate fualt and if poss repair - I'm I wasting my time? or can these units be repaired or even got at easily?
You advice my save me time and effort. Many thanks Dave |

If it moves one way, but not the other, then it's not the motor. The motor is working if it moves at all.
Much more likely is the switch, or the wiring to the switch. Put a meter or bulb across the motor and try it both ways. If there's power but the motor doesn't move then the motor is suspect, but as I said, this is unlikely. |

Problem with seat motor
Thanks for that
Checked out seat yesterday with brother in law he noticed that the switch seemed to be slightly pushed in - got fingers behind switch and pushed out until 2 clicks heard - seat now works perfectly - Seat must have been nocked in transit...... Regards Dave |
