The reason I ask is that one of the captive nuts on my subframe (a new one) started to spin when I did a 'trial run' off the car. The cage is made too weakly and it distorts as you torque up the bolt - the flat part of the captive nut forces it out of the way and that's what causes the nut to spin. I managed to straighten the cage by levering it back into shape and it held on a second test, but I'm not certain it'll do so again. Do you think I could get the subframe & all 4 arms onto the car if the arm with the dodgy cage is already fully torqued up to 89ft-lb/120Nm? That way I'd know it was ok before I refit the subframe. |

There aren't any within walking distance. Maybe somebody's got a pic I can gauge the angle from. I've got a factory pic of the underside of a V8 somewhere but the angles might be different on V8 cars. |

Para 2 (overview) seems to confirm that it's all different on the V8. And 4th para under steering & suspension.

I am not near my cars at the moment but should be easy enough for someone to get you some reference dimensions from their car.
