Afternoon all, it’s now a chilly 27 here...

Well the glasses are chilled anyway!

Nice one Andy, Don't get sunburned, I'm not jealous at all I'm just making a big batch of soup to freeze in containers as I've got a load of fresh veggies that need using up and a couple of ham hocks.

Evening all, here comes the rain after a nice day. It's gone rather chilly with it too.

Down in the Lakes visiting friends yesterday, uttered something I never thought I would! Passing a Kia dealership, I said "I like the look of that!". There was no model name on it but a bit of research shows its The Stinger:

Didn't get a chance to have a right look at it and no, not planning on getting shot of the 260!.

They reckon they're rocket machines especially the six cylinder ones , My missus was sat in one of those in the Kia showroom when we got the Niro, they had to drag her out of it I declined sitting in it as it was too low down for me & I'd never get back out of it.
Speaking of rocket machines I've just been reading about the new Mercedes AMG 63! It's lost half of it's eight cylinders & is now a four pot hybrid I wonder what the purists will make of that.

Mate of mine has one, a proper one, with a snorting V8 under the bonnet. He runs a taxi business, says he got it for doing weddings . . . . aye right . . . . shotgun weddings maybe

Oh, another thing. On the train coming back from the Lakes, saw a guy who was a dead ringer for one of the train drivers I worked with. Then I heard someone say "Didn't you used to be at Millerhill?", looked around, there was another ex Millerhill driver talking to him . . . . unbelievable! Two guys I hadn't seen for about 11-12 years, walked across and said "Is this a staff meeting?" The three of us rather ignored our other halves and chatted til Tony, got off at Carlisle, lives and works there now but spent the rest of the journey talking to "Reggie", his nickname was Reggie Kray because he was always talking about fights he got into

Morning all,

Off to the boat with my Dad after work today for the weekend.

Hope I break my curse and the weather clears up so we can get some good boating in

Will be doing some high speed runs across Breydon water to check the new turbo is working okay. A pub (or two) will feature in the weekends events

Cool

Morning Jeff and all those that follow.

Overcast this morning.

Taking Banana up to Matt’s, we have new rear lights to fit plus some bulbs need replacing. The door panel on the drivers side needs refitting, never fitted right since her respray.
