Painted the new (to me - they were from my old scrapper) lower arms ready for fitting. Got a pair of new springs, and as soon as the trailing arm bushes arrive everything will be going back together.

In the meantime I'll clean and rustproof the body where the trailing arm bush brackets sit and make up a puller and get the old bushes out.

Bit chilly down here too mind.

An uncle of mine was a fire lighter on the railway at Tysley station in Birmingham. When I was around 13 years of age, he took me to Tysley and showed me what he did and I was taken on a tour of the place. I helped turn an engine on the turntable there, and the highlight was driving an engine that was up to steam, down the track for about 100 yards, and back. Oh the joy.

Came home from work in the tourer, it’s been a while. Struggled to get on my drive as there were cars, buses and trucks everywhere. Coronation Street we’re filming 200 yards from my house. Apparently back tomorrow so hoping they have gone by the time I finish work.

Probably not, I live on a large hill overlooking the town and harbour. They were filming about 200 yards away on the cliff tops overlooking the town. Maybe a ‘spoiler’ there . Ridiculous how they’ve taken over the area although it looked as though they were letting people watch the filming. They might have a continuity issue today as it snowed overnight

New keyring... ebay chinese job for peanuts.

Also fitted more powerful LED bulbs to replace the standard filament pilot lights.

Left new right old. not as powerful as DRL's but does the job.
